Ruth is the consummate professional artist. She cares deeply about her clients, and she works very hard to deliver artwork that is both personal and unique. I have three papercuts of Ruth's displayed in my writing studio, and they are a continuous source of inspiration. I am very much a fan of her work, and I look forward to each new line that she produces.
I commissioned custom artwork for my sister's wedding and was ecstatic with the final result. Communicating with Ruth was easy, quick and seamless. When I received the one of a kind fine art piece I fell in love with its intricate beauty. I couldn't recommend Ruth enough!!
Fantastic! Not only is Ruth an incredible artist, but the whole process was very smooth: she was in excellent communication with us, the proofs were perfectly representative of the finished product (only it's so much more beautiful in person) and it shipped quickly and arrived in impeccable condition.

About Ruth Mergi
I’m an American-Israeli artist and designer. I live and work in Takoma Park, Maryland. I’ve been painting and cutting paper for more than twenty years. I’ve also studied law, worked in the news media, and dallied a bit in academia — but my heart has always belonged to art.
I specialize in creating works of hand-cut and laser-cut fine art and ketubahs, while maintaining an independent studio practice.
